Many Turkish and Greek Cypriot men consider hunting to be one of their greatest passion. In North Cyprus, the season spans from the end of October until the beginning of February. Animal hunting areas are limited and hunters are informed about them. During this time, hunting is likewise restricted to Sundays only. The government regulates hunting grounds and requires hunters to be licensed. Partridge, wood pigeon, and hare are the most favored prey for hunters.

In the Kyrenia district of North Cyprus, there are various approved camping sites that provide modest but necessary amenities such as toilets and showers. Some of them also feature a bar.
However, the greatest camping spots are those that you discover on your own, particularly Karpaz. Of course, these provide no amenities, and you should avoid trespassing on fenced terrain that may belong to the Army. Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) is a non-profit organization based in Kyrenia. The KAR is located in the Five Finger Mountains (Besparmak), about 10 kilometers outside of Kyrenia on the mountain route to Famagusta, for animal enthusiasts.
The Kyrenia Animal Rescue sign should be visible as you reach the famous Five Finger Mountains, the center of which is on the left. You have gone too far if you reach the café on the left. In 1999, the Rescue Centre was relocated to the Besparmak Mountains, where it presently houses over 200 dogs and puppies and 50 cats and kittens.
The center is dedicated to providing all of the animals with a loving and caring environment. Visitors are free to tour the center or walk their dogs in the charming countryside around. Both you and the dogs will have a great time doing this. The treks take place in the Five Fingers Mountain range’s stunning and attractive surroundings. The center opens every day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Kyrenia is the place to go if you want to enjoy the nightlife in North Cyprus. A superb range of restaurants, taverns, pubs, and cafés can be found along the gorgeous harbour front. These are most active throughout the summer. If you are feeling lucky, Kyrenia also features a few open-air discos and beach clubs, as well as a large range of casinos. Almond Holiday Village is about a 15-minute drive east of Kyrenia. As a result, you have the option of escaping the hustle and bustle in this tranquil, family-run vacation town or being a part of it.
