Sponsored by Noyanlar Group of Companies and CrossXtreme Gym, a Functional Fitness (CrossFit) Championship was held for the first time at Royal Sun Residence on 25 – 26 September 2021.
After the competition, trophies and gifts were presented to the winners of the championship. The championship, which lasted for two days, attracted great attention.
CrossXtreme Gym Director Yetkin Ongun told us about the championship process:
“This is the first time such an event has been held in the TRNC. Attendance exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, participation was low in some categories, especially in women’s categories. In this direction, we call for women in our country to be encouraged to participate in sports and to participate in such organizations. This competition was a start, and we will be signing bigger international competitions in the following processes. We will be together again in a larger organization in a short time.”
